CJ inspects mental health institute at Koilwar in Bhojpur
Ara: Chief Justice of the Patna high court, Sangam Kumar Sahoo, along with other judges, on Saturday inspected the Bihar State Institute of Mental Health and Allied Sciences (BIMHAS) at Koilwar in Bhojpur district. During the visit, the judges inspected various wards and reviewed the treatment facilities, patient care and overall arrangements at the institute.On the occasion, the Chief Justice said, “Mental health awareness and humanity-based services are important steps towards building an empowered society.”

The judges appreciated the housekeeping work being carried out by Jeevika Didis at BIMHAS and praised the effort for contributing to women’s economic empowerment, according to a press release issued by the Bhojpur DM’s office on Saturday evening.According to district officials, the purpose of the visit was to assess patient welfare, review ongoing upgradation and renovation works, and promote mental health awareness. The Director and other officials briefed the judges on improvements in treatment and rehabilitation services, new initiatives and enhancements in service quality.Earlier, upon arrival, the Chief Justice was accorded a Guard of Honour. He and other judges also planted saplings on the campus, giving a message of environmental conservation.The Chief Justice was accompanied by Justice Sudhir Singh, Justice Nani Tagia, Justice Navneet Kumar Pandey, Justice Purnendu Singh, Justice Harish Kumar, Justice Dr Anshuman, Justice Smt Soni Srivastava and Justice Ajit Kumar.
