The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has pasted court notices at the residential house of the Srijan Mahila Vikas Sahyog Samiti (SMVSS) Secretary Rajni Priya alias Priya Kumar on Tuesday as part of the legal procedure to be fulfilled by pronouncing her as an absconder so that her properties are confiscated. This is the second time within a month that the CBI had to undertake such a step against Rajni. Earlier also, the SMVSS Secretary was issued notice to appear before the Special CBI Court on December 16. The court had issued notices to be pasted at her residential premises at Bhagalpur following her failure to appear before the designated court. The CBI Court had earlier issued a non-bailable warrant of arrest against Rajni and other accused in the case RC6A18 as they had gone underground since the scam came to light in August 2017. Rajni is accused in 24 out of total 27 cases lodged in connection to the infamous Srijan scam, SMVSS a cooperative society founded by late Manorama Devi in early 1990s is under CBI probe.
