Case against principal for assaulting Class IX pupil

GAYA: A Class IX student of Ram Sahay High School, Fatehpur, has lodged a case against school principal Sitanshu Kumar for allegedly assaulting him in the classroom on Thursday. The principal has also given an application against the student. However, the case against the student was not registered as he is a minor.

According to police, the student, a resident of Badgaon village under Fatehpur police station, was assaulted after a windowpane of a classroom allegedly got damaged by him. However, the student denied the charge and said in fact he got his finger injured after the glass fell on his hand. The student was admitted to the CHC Fatehpur and later referred to Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College and Hospital for better treatment.

"A case has been registered against the school principal on the complaint of the student," said Fatehpur SHO Kumar Saurav.
