PATNA: Ten driver and navigator pairs were awarded on Monday for their driving skill in the car rally organized by Indian Oil-Lions Club of Patna Femina on Sunday.
There were three categories, namely all women's category, couples' category and general category. In the first category, Darakshan Arzoo as driver and Jyoti Krishna as navigator won the first prize.
The second prize was bagged by the team of Kajal Kiran at the wheels and Sumedha as the navigator. The third prize in the same category was bagged by the pair of Shagufta and Mehar as the driver and the navigator respectively.
In the couples' category, Anup Kumar and Mamta Kumar won the first position while the second prize was bagged by Arun Singh at the wheels and his wife Chandrawati Singh navigating. The third prize in this category was won by the pair of Sanjeev Sinha and Madhu Sinha.
In the general category, all the participants were men, and the first prize was taken away by Rak Kumar and Subhash Kumar. Pramod Kumar and Gaurav Sinha won the second prize while Sanjeev Kumar and Saket Kumar won the third prize.
A cash prize of Rs 20,000, Rs 16,000 and Rs 10,000 was given to all the first, second and third prize winners respectively in all the categories. A special prize was given to Madhuri Singh and Shivani, as they were considered the most disciplined participants. Altogether 55 cars had participated in the rally.
