: A government official and a schoolteacher were among four more persons arrested by the Economic Offences Unit (EOU) probing the Bihar Public Service Commission (

said on Sunday. Total eight persons have been arrested in this connection so far. The 67th Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination for state civil services was cancelled the same day after question paper leak.
Those arrested since Saturday night were Rajesh Kumar (39), an assistant in the agriculture department posted at Vikas Bhavan in Patna, a government teacher Krishna Mohan Singh (41) from Vaishali, Nishikant Rai (33) from Siwan and Sudhir Kumar Singh (40) from Aurangabad. The investigating team has seized several gadgets used in leaking the question paper from different locations in the state capital.
The four were sent to jail on Sunday after producing them before the court of chief judicial magistrate of Patna after medical examination.
The investigation revealed that an engineering graduate from the National Institute of Technology (NIT)-Patna, Anand Gaurav alias Pintu Yadav, was the mastermind in the BPSC paper leak case. According to Khan, raid was conducted at Gaurav’s residence in Lohanipur under Kadamkuan police station area on the statement of the arrested Rajesh, who solved the leaked question paper (Set C) for money. Rajesh told the interrogators that the gang charged around Rs8-10 lakh for helping the aspirants to crack the exam.
