BJP minister Krishnanandan Paswan fails to file nomination for Harsidhi constituency after rally delay

Motihari: The BJP candidate for Harsidhi (SC) constituency in East Champaran district, minister Krishnanandan Paswan had to return from Areraj subdivisional magistrate’s (SDM’s) office on Wednesday without submitting his nomination because he reached there late after 3pm. Returning officer, SDM Arun Kumar, refused to accept his nomination because he turned up late.

Sugarcane industries minister Paswan said that he got late because of a rally, along with a large number of his supporters, from Harsidhi to the Areraj SDM office, which was greeted at around 50 places by his supporters in between. Then he reached famous at Areraj, where he performed Puja.

Lal Babu Prasad, former BJP general secretary, said that Paswan will file his nomination on Thursday.

A visibly sad Paswan, after returning from the SDM office, addressed a meeting of his supporters at Areraj, saying that the symbol of his party is in his hand, and that he will file his nomination on Thursday.

Paswan has represented the Harsidhi assembly constituency for two terms.
