The methods to be adopted to gear up the party were discussed intensively at the two-day meeting of its state executive committee that concluded on Sunday. BJP national general secretary Saudan Singh was present during the executive committee meeting.
During the exercise, the state unit of the party adopted two separate resolutions related to the political situation and the lot of the states farmers, partys state chief Radha Mohan Singh said, adding that the participants lauded the achievements of the Nitish Kumar government in the last 27 months.
They were concerned that the central policies pursued by the UPA government at the Centre were detrimental to the developmental interests of the farmers and other sections, Singh said.
The party is organising a meeting of all its frontal organisations here at Gandhi Maidan on April 9. The national leaders of the party would be present on the occasion, but their names had not been decided. To build the momentum, the party has decided to hold sub-regional conferences of the party workers and cadres at Patna (March 4), Muzaffarpur (March 5) and Purnia (March 11), the BJP state chief said.

Moreover, a three-day separate state level training programme for the selected 300 party workers would be held on April 11, 12 and 13. All the MLAs, MLCs, state office-bearers, state presidents of frontal organisations, district presidents of the party and others concerned would attend the programme.
The party has alerted its in-charges for the four of the eight legislative council constituencies where elections would be held in April. The in-charge of the Kosi graduate constituency is Vijay Kumar Singh.
For the teachers constituencies of Darbhanga, Saran and Muzaffarpur, Mangal Pandey, Lal Babu Prasad and Ram Kishore Prasad have been selected respectively.
Meanwhile, two noted politicians former minister Vikram Kunwar and retired chief engineer Bhagwan Das joined the
BJP on Sunday in the presence of the partys president, Singh. Others present on the occasion were party spokesman Vinod Narayan Jha and Lal Babu Prasad.
"I have returned to my parent party (BJP) from where I started my political activities," Kunwar said, adding: "I had walked out of the RJD long back. RJD is not a political party, but a gang."
