Aunta-Simaria Bridge inauguration
PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate the six-lane Aunta-Simaria bridge over the Ganga, described as a modern landmark connecting Aunta Ghat in Mokama with Simaria in Begusarai.
Over 30 development projects
The foundation for more than 30 projects worth Rs 1,675 crore, including roads, bridges, and other infrastructure improvements.
New four-lane Road
Alongside the bridge, PM Modi will also inaugurate the newly built 44.60-km four-lane Bakhtiyarpur-Mokama road, aimed at ensuring smoother and faster travel in the region.
Wider connectivity
The bridge will help people from Purnia, Bhagalpur, and other districts reach Patna more easily, and will also strengthen Bihar’s links with northeastern states and the rest of the country.
Road connectivity boost
With the completion of the bridge and Bakhtiyarpur-Mokama road, four-lane connectivity from Patna to Khagaria via Mokama and Begusarai will become seamless and faster.
Traffic improvements
The bridge will reduce travel time significantly between several districts in north and south Bihar, easing congestion and facilitating quicker movement of people and goods.
Bridge details
The 8.15-km Aunta-Simaria bridge, built at an estimated cost of Rs 1,871 crore, will run parallel to the existing Rajendra Setu, improving travel capacity and infrastructure standards in Bihar.
