Bihar soul of nation, says Tripura CM
Bettiah: Tripura CM Manik Saha on Saturday highlighted the development achieved under the double-engine govt in Bihar and warned voters against a return to the jungle raj. Speaking in West Champaran, he said Bihar has witnessed significant changes between the past and the present.
“I have a long-standing relationship with the sacred land of Bihar. I completed my dental studies in Patna. During Lalu Prasad’s tenure, there was a jungle raj, from which the NDA govt has barely emerged. Therefore, let’s not push Bihar back into jungle raj and form an NDA govt once again. I hope the people of West Champaran will ensure the NDA’s victory in all nine seats. Bihar is the necklace of India’s neck and the soul of the nation. We have learned a lot from its talented people. A lot of development work has been done in Tripura, including Bihar. Our govt will continue to do amazing development work in the future,” he added.
Political activity intensified as Saha encouraged supporters at the nominations of BJP candidates from Bagaha, Ramnagar and Narkatiaganj assembly constituencies. Union minister Satish Chandra Dubey also addressed gatherings to garner support for the party candidates.
Ram Singh, the BJP MLA from Bagaha, is contesting again, while BJP district vice president Nandkishor Ram is in the fray from Ramnagar. The BJP has expressed confidence in a former district president and dedicated worker contesting from Narkatiaganj.
All three candidates filed their nominations from their respective constituencies. Prior to filing, they held rallies with supporters and offered prayers at temples before submitting their papers.
