Bihar people key to nation’s development: President

Patna: President Droupadi Murmu and governor Syed Ata Hasnain on Sunday extended good wishes to the people of the state on the occasion of Bihar Diwas.

Murmu said the people of Bihar would play an important role in the development of the state and the entire country with their “boundless talent and hard work”.

“Heartfelt greetings of Bihar Diwas to all the people of Bihar residing in the country and abroad. As the land of the world’s first republic, and along with it, the birthplace of glorious empires and great cultural-spiritual traditions, this soil has always enriched the land of India by making contributions in various fields. .... I am confident that the residents of the state, with their boundless talent and hard work, will play an important role in the development of Bihar and the entire country. I extend my best wishes for a golden future to the state and all its residents," Murmu said in a post on X in Hindi.

Hasnain conveyed his heartfelt greetings and warm felicitations to all residents of Bihar and people of Bihari origin across the world on the auspicious occasion of Bihar Diwas, according to a statement issued by the Bihar Lok Bhavan.

He called upon everyone to renew their collective resolve to contribute wholeheartedly towards the holistic development of the state and the nation, while steadfastly upholding the rich legacy and glory of Bihar, the statement added.
