Bihar: New train between Jaynagar & Bhagalpur

The East Central Railway (ECR) has introduced a new train between Jaynagar and Bhagalpur while several passenger trains have been either given status of express trains or their services extended in the new time table to be implemented from October 1.

PATNA: The East Central Railway (ECR) has introduced a new train between Jaynagar and Bhagalpur while several passenger trains have been either given status of express trains or their services extended in the new time table to be implemented from October 1. ECR chief public relations officer (CPRO) Birendra Kumar said the new train (15553/15554) will run between Jaynagar and Bhagalpur daily to cater to the needs of people on this particular route. However, Chopan-Prayagraj passenger (53345/53346), Jaynagar-Patna Kamla Ganga passenger (55527/55528), Patna-Jasidih MEMU (63208/63209), Patna-Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction MEMU (63227/63228) and Raxaul-Danapur DEMU (75215/75216) have been given the status of a express train, he said. Besides, railways has extended the services of Dhanbad-Gaya Express (13305/13306) up to Dehri-on-Sone and of Lokmanya Tilak-Darbhanga Express (11061/11062) up to Jaynagar. Bandra Terminus-Gorakhpur Express (19037/19038) will also run up to Barauni now, he said, adding the Raxaul-Lokmanya Tilak Express and Jaynagar-Udhana Express (15563/15564) have ben given the status of superfast express train.Meanwhile, railways has diverted the route of Rajendra Nagar Terminal-Saharsa Express (13227/13228) to New Barauni Junction instead of Barauni and that of Patna-Singrauli Express (13349/13350) via Garhwa route, the CPRO said.
