PATNA: The state government will celebrate Bihar Diwas at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi on March 22 by showcasing the historical and cultural heritage of the state.
The industry department has been given the charge for this. The Bihar Diwas is to be celebrated on March 22 as on this date in 1905, Bihar was separated from Orissa.
Principal secretary (industries) A K Sinha said a large hall has been hired at Pragati Maidan where Bihar Diwas would be celebrated and a
fortnight-long exhibition would showcase Bihar's historical and cultural heritage from March 22.

Sinha said the cultural road map of tourism in Bihar with different religious and cultural routes would be on display at the Bihar day exhibition. Bihar's rich historical heritage weaved along the cultural and religious routes along with historical and archaeological sites which would also be highlighted to display the state's glorious past, he said. He added the services of a historical and cultural expert for the purpose.
Sinha said a positive move towards agricultural and industrial development in Bihar would also be showcased with emphasis on its natural bounties and fertile land.
