Bihar Congress in charge asks NDA to name its CM face

Patna: Congress’s Bihar in charge Krishna Allavaru on Wednesday asked the NDA to reveal its CM face, alleging the alliance has neither a CM face nor any plan to develop Bihar.

Speaking to reporters in Patna on Wednesday, Allavaru said the opposition has launched its poll campaign focusing on people’s issues that has been highlighted in its manifesto. He added that the INDIA bloc has both a concrete plan and a capable team to address these problems if voted to power.

“We would like to know from the NDA who is their CM face. Will Nitish Kumar continue?” he asked, adding that the NDA leadership has failed to provide a clear answer regarding Nitish’s leadership. He claimed the opposition alliance has started working on its agenda, with people’s issues in focus.


Allavaru, a key member of Rahul Gandhi’s team, has been assigned the responsibility to strengthen the party in the state, although he came under severe criticism over ticket distribution.

A section of party workers has openly rebelled against the top leadership, including Allavaru, accusing them of sidelining loyal grassroots members and favouring outsiders in ticket distribution.
