Bihar: 2 run over, 1 injured by SUV in Bhojpur

ARA: Two persons were crushed to death, while another was seriously injured by an SUV near Bandha village under Bihiya police station in Bhojpur district on Friday. The deceased were identified as 45-year-old contractual teacher, Ganesh Ram and his uncle Kamal Ram (55), residents of Bandha. Their co-villager Tej Narayan Singh (70), who also sustained serious injuries in the accident, has been admitted to the PMCH for better treatment.Bihiya SHO Uday Bhanu Singh told this newspaper on Saturday: "The accident occurred at about 7.30 pm when a speeding SUV run over the three villagers when they were trying to cross the road. A case against the unknown vehicle driver has been lodged with the Bihiya police station and the police are trying to identify him."Ganesh Ram used to teach in a middle school at Bandha village, while his uncle Kamal Ram was a farmer. Ganesh's brother Mahesh Ram told media persons that his brother and uncle with a co-villager had come out of their houses and walking along the road due to hot and humid weather when they met with the accident.
