Beheaded body of farmer found in Saharsa

Patna: A 65-year-old farmer, Narayan Yadav, was brutally killed in Kanria village under police station area in district late Sunday evening.

Yadav’s body was found without head, triggering panic in the area. The missing head was not recovered even after 24 hours of the incident.

Police said Yadav went to the field to collect fodder for his cattle on Sunday afternoon. However, he failed to return home, prompting his family members to launch a search. The body was sent for the postmortem and a murder case was registered in this regard. Police said the search to find the missing head is going on.

“We are taking the investigation seriously and are working to identify the perpetrators,” said , Mukesh Kumar Thakur.
