Q. Your message for Christmas

Christmas is celebration of the birth of not merely a child, but a child who changed the destiny of humans forever. It is celebration of the fact that God wanted to be a part of the human race and so he took on flesh and blood and became human like us. We can also show unconditional love through our good deeds and helping those who are in need of our help and care. Be human and merciful.

Q. Although Bihar government has allowed exception for sacramental wine to be offered during the holy Mass, does the church support prohibition?

We thank Bihar government for allowing exception for sacramental wine, but the church supports prohibition.

Q. Mother Teresa was declared Saint this year, one of the Catholic Church's highest honour. Any special message from you on this?

Mother Teresa is a model for whole world. She did what Jesus asked her by serving those, who are neglected. She wants the same from us.

Q. Do you think Christmas celebrations have been commercialised lately?

No, that is not the case. Christmas celebration at the churches has remained the same and it centres around spiritual celebrations. People buy things from the market as personal lifestyle choices and the church never asks them to do so.
