patna: pandav science club, banka, was awarded mitco foundation shield for its best school exhibit in the three-day 29th jawaharlal nehru science exhibition which concluded here on sunday. patna was awarded the best district prize on the occasion. omar girls' high school, begusarai, was awarded the piyush cultural running shield for best cultural performance.
priyanka anand and jyoti kumari of begusarai were jointly awarded first prize in population education exhibition. in this category, abhijit of banka was given second prize. manish kumar and sudhanshu kumar of ayodhya bharti high school, begusarai, were awarded first prize in landmark in science category for their solar heater. bibhuti kumar sinha of the gandhi memorial inter school, jehanabad, was awarded second prize under this category. ravi singh of sasaram and shilpi mishra of sorampur were awarded third and fourth prizes under this category. rohit kumar jha of pandav science club, banka, was given first prize in harnessing energy category. neeraj kumar of d a v, sitamarhi was given second prize under this category. piyush ranjan of motihari and subodh kumar of jehanabad were selected for third and fourth prizes respectively under this category. arvind kumar (saharsa), ravish kumar, suman kumar, vijay kumar (all from patna), vikash kumar (laheriasarai) and rakesh kumar singh (katihar) were given first, second, third and fourth prizes respectively under food category. anurag kumar of narepur (begusarai), mangal pandey of motihari and manish kumar singh of sormapur (patna) were awarded first, second and third prizes for their best exhibits. begusarai bagged all the three prizes for cultural programmes. dipak kumar, arvind kumar and pankaj kumar nirala of pandav science club, banka, were awarded the best guide teachers. manish kumar singh (sorampur), rashmi rekha (jitwarpur), pankaj kumar (sitamarhi), rajiv and sudhanshu ranjan (jehanabad) were given first, second, third and fourth prizes respectively in ecological management category. tunni singh (siwan), siddheshwar kumar, shivendu shekhar, ramlakhan singh yadav (punaichak), abhinita (banka) and narendra kumar (madhubani) were awarded first, second, third and fourth prizes respectively under nutrition and health category. anurag , mausim (begusarai), soni (siwan), amit (jehanabad) and pradhan (kamtaul) were awarded under transport and communication category. under science and technology for entertainment category, shipra khare, priti sinha and kumari vandana (patna city), kundan varun (sasaram), jayant kumar vidyarthi, neeraj kumar (sarta) and roshan kumar jha (banka) were awarded first, second and third prizes respectively. mangal pandey (motihari), anita, shweta, tanu gupta (khagaul), nupur bharti (banka) and abhishek kumar abhay (karpoori gram) were awarded first, second, third and fourth prizes respectively under educational technology category.
