PATNA: The Patna zone of Bank of India organized a health check-up camp to mark
World Diabetes Day on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, BOI zonal manager K B Jain said that awareness was needed to tackle the menace of diabetes.
"Due to stressed life-style, people are suffering from diabetes and blood pressure. There is lack of health consciousness too among them. Programmes like this will help in creating awareness," Jain said at the programme.
Staff members of BOI zonal office and Patna branches along with their family members underwent health check-up at the camp. Noted doctors Dr Achal Sinha and Dr S K Agrawal were present on the occasion.
Kurji Holy Family Hospital also celebrated World Diabetes Day at its premises. Its administrator Sister Juliana D' Cunha and doctors participated in a symposium on the "Role of medical nutrition therapy in prevention and treatment of diabetes mellitus."
