Aurangabad HAM-S president held in Inter exam topper scam
AURANGABAD: The Special Investigating Team (SIT) of Patna police probing the Intermediate topper scam raided the residence of Hindustani Awam Morcha-Secular (HAM-S) district president Ajay Kumar at
Veer Kunwar Singh Nagar
under Town police station and recovered 19 bundles of blank answersheets of Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) on Wednesday.The SIT headed by sub-inspector Jyoti Punj conducted raids with the help of Town police station and recovered altogether 19 bundles following which police took Ajay into custody and quizzed him.
Police sources said Ajay is a businessman and works as a supplier for the divisional jail, Aurangabad, where Janardan was posted as in charge jail superintendent. SIT sources said Ajay would be taken to Patna where the head of SIT team and SSP Manu Maharaaj would quiz him to find more links.
When contacted, Agrawal, however, refuted all allegations levelled by Ajay. He said he has nothing to do with the copies recovered. He said, "All allegations are baseless and I am ready for any probe."

, principal of Bishun Rai College of Vaishali from where state 'topper' Ruby Rai and other students appeared for the exam, former BSEB chairman Lalkeshwar Prasad Singh and his wife, ex-MLA Usha Sinha have so far been arrested in the case.Ruby Rai was arrested by the SIT on June 25 soon after the re-test held by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB).
The merit scam was exposed in May 2016 when Ruby Roy pronounced political science as prodigal science and termed it a subject related to cookery.
