Ara deputy mayor out of danger

Ara: Ara deputy mayor Basant Singh, who was shot at on Thursday by some miscreants, was discharged from a private hospital where he was undergoing treatment.
Dr Vikash Singh, who operated on the deputy mayor, said the patient was bleeding profusely due to the bullet injury when brought to the hospital. "The bleeding stopped after the surgery, but the bullet is still stuck in his bones.He will recover fully in a month or two," said the doctor, adding the bullet would not lead to any medical complications.
The deputy mayor was shot at when he was on his usual morning walk in Maulabagh locality of the town. Bhojpuri singer Rinku Ojha has been arrested in connection with the case and an FIR lodged against six persons, including the singer.
Bhojpur SP Kshatranil Singh said raids were on to arrest the other accused.
