PATNA: The Danapur Railway Officers' Association (ROA) on Thursday held a meeting at the DRM's office at Danapur under the chairmanship of additional divisional railway manager (ADRM), Danapur, and passed a resolution describing the suspension of senior divisional operating manager (senior DOM) of Danapur division Adhar Raj as demoralizing for railway officials.

The association urged the competent authority of the railways to review the suspension order and revoke it at the earliest, said ROA secretary Manoj Kumar.
According to sources, the ROA of each division of the East Central Railway (ECR), which held a similar meeting at the respective divisional headquarters, expressed shock at the suspension of Raj and demanded immediate revocation of the suspension order.
According to sources, Raj is perhaps the only senior railway official of Danapur who has been placed under suspension due to a furore created by MPs over denial of berths in AC-1 of the Rajdhani Express or non-attachment of an extra coach to accommodate all 27 MPs who were going to New Delhi on December 6 by Rajdhani Express along with their spouses and companions. Incidentally, the suspended railway official also happens to be a close relative of a JD(U) MP from Bihar, sources said.
According to sources, railway officials both at ECR headquarters, Hajipur and at DRM's office, Danapur, met on Thursday to take stock of the situation arising out of suspension of such a senior railway official, sources said, adding the blame game has also started between the ECR headquarters and Danapur division.
According to Daily Passenger Association member R K Sharma, the Danapur division has often been in the news for wrong reasons, including alarm chain pulling, hopes pipe disconnection and detention of mail and express trains, at the outer signals for hours.
According to sources, Danapur DRM L M Jha is said to have written a letter to ECR headquarters Thursday stating the reasons due to which an extra coach could not be attached to Rajdhani Express. On the other hand, the ECR held senior DOM responsible for poor management on that day. The situation could have been tackled efficiently had the DRM been informed about the development even on Tuesday, sources said, adding the division could have attached an extra coach and then informed the headquarters about it.
