Amit Shah’s two-day state visit from today to energise BJP cadre
Bettiah/Patna: Union home minister Amit Shah will reach Bihar on a two-day visit on Friday to energise the party’s rank and file ahead of the assembly elections.
On Friday, he will visit Bettiah, West Champaran, and hold a meeting with district presidents, MLAs, MPs and key workers from 10 organisational districts of Saran and Champaran at the Government Engineering College in Kumarbagh, BJP district president Rupak Kumar Srivastava said on Thursday. On Saturday, Shah will address the Saharsa, Purnia and Bhagalpur divisional-level workers’ conference in Araria.
Bagaha BJP president Achintya Kumar Lalla said Shah would review election preparations with party members and address office-bearers from surrounding districts. “He will also issue several guidelines,” he added.
This will be Shah’s second visit to the state in 10 days, as the Bihar assembly elections are expected to be announced in the first week of Oct. West and East Champaran, considered NDA strongholds, are crucial, and the party aims to win all seats there.
Regarding his arrival, Bettiah SP Shaurya Suman reviewed security arrangements at Kumarbagh Engineering College, issuing necessary instructions to officials.
During his previous visit to Dehri near Sasaram on Sept 15, Shah had set a target to win 80% of seats in Shahabad and Magadh regions, where the NDA’s performance was weak in the 2020 assembly and 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
