PATNA: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is imparting training to AC coach attendants of different trains to make the journey of passengers comfortable.
According to IRCTC regional manager (Patna) Rajesh Kumar, the training programme, which is part of the Prime Minister Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), began a month ago. It is being conducted in association with the National Skill Development Corporation.
“A group of 25 attendants gets trained every week and deputed in random trains.

At least 100 of them have been imparted training so far. Our motive is to make passengers feel good,” Rajesh told this newspaper, adding 500 attendants would be trained under the .
At present, a training camp is underway at the Danapur station. Similar camps will soon be organized at the Darbhanga and Muzaffarpur stations.
Rajesh said, “The attendants are being imparted behavioural training. They will wish ‘good morning’ while serving tea and serve fresh food to the passengers.”
