PATNA: The state reported 314 more dengue cases on Sunday. With this, the total number of dengue positive cases reached 6,460 in Bihar till September this year. The state had registered 416 on Saturday, the highest in a single day.
According to the data shared by state health society in its bulletin on Sunday, the total number of cases recorded till date this year was 6,735, of which 6,460 were found in September alone.
The total number of dengue patients admitted in medical college and hospitals as on Sunday was 317, of which the largest number of 139 patients were in Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and Hospital, Bhagalpur.
PMCH and SKMCH had 28 dengue patients each, while Government Medical College, Bettiah, had the lowest number of 4 dengue patients.
All medical colleges have marked dengue wards with varying number of beds for patients admitted there for treatment. The district wise status revealed Patna at the top with 125 new cases on Sunday, while Bhagalpur and Munger jointly had 29, and Banka showing the lowest figure of nine in a single day.
