64 cadets to participate in OTA passing out parade

Gaya: Altogether 64 cadets, including 62 of technical entry scheme (TES-39) and two under special commissioned officer (SCO category), will participate in the 21st passing out parade (PoP) after successfully completing the one-year basic military training course at Officers’ Training Academy (OTA), Gaya on Saturday.
Eight cadets of friendly nations, including five from Bhutan and three from Sri Lanka, will also be a part of the PoP.

Eight cadets of friendly nations are among the 62 cadets under TES-39 category.
On the eve of PoP, Multi-activity Display (MAD) will be organized on Friday evening. MAD would showcase daredevil events like gymnastics, microlight flying and acrobats, horse show, dog show, sky diving and display of martial arts.
According to a press release issued by OTA on Wednesday, Lieutenant General JS Nain, Param Vishisht Seva medal, Ati Vishisht Seva medal, Sena Medal, Aide-de-Camp, general officer commanding-in-chief, southern command will be the reviewing officer of the PoP.
Parents of the cadets and dignitaries will also be present at the ceremonies. In addition, children from Sainik School Nalanda, Sainik School Tilaiya, cadets from NCC and children from various schools of Gaya will be invited to for the event, which will be telecast live and shared on digital media also.
OTA Gaya was raised as the third Pre-Commissioning Training Academy by the Army on July 18, 2011 and was formally inaugurated on November 14, 2011 by former Chief of Army Staff, General VK Singh.
