Bettiah: As part of preparations for Haj 2026, a special vaccination and health card camp was organised for haj pilgrims at Naya Tola Mosque in Bettiah, West Champaran on Tuesday, following the directions of the Bihar State Haj Committee.
A total of 59 haj pilgrims from the district participated in the camp, where they were administered mandatory vaccines and issued health cards. Officials and staff from the minority welfare department and the health department were present, along with haj coordinators and community representatives.

Prominent imams from district mosques, madrasa teachers and well-known members of the minority community also attended the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, deputy director of minority welfare department, Abdul Rashid Ansari, said that preparations for haj are progressing smoothly. “Pre-haj arrangements including vaccination and training programmes are being conducted as per guidelines. A duaaiya majlis (special prayer gathering) was also organised with the cooperation of local haj coordinators,” he said.
He added that all 59 pilgrims had received their vaccinations, marking an important step in ensuring their health and safety ahead of the pilgrimage.
