55,709 from Bihar crack NEET, Ankit scores 700 to top in Bihar
PATNA: Altogether 55,709 students from Bihar qualified the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (undergraduate) examinations, the results of which were announced by the National Testing Agency on Wednesday night.
Ankit Kumar emerged the state topper with 99.9943869 percentile. Compared to previous year, the pass percentage was slightly more this year in Bihar with 56.46% of candidates who had appeared in the examination passing it. Last year, 55.79% of those who had appeared in the examination had succeeded.
As per the details shared by the NTA on its website, 1,03,691 candidates had registered for this prestigious examination from Bihar this year and 98,668 of them had appeared for it. Of them, 55,709 qualified the test. In 2021, altogether 83,038 candidates had appeared for the examination and 46,327 passed.
Though the state’s overall pass percentage was slightly better than the national average of 56.27%, none of the candidates from the state could make it to the top 50 candidates. Ankit who emerged state topper with 700 marks got All India Rank 68.
Shahla Tasnim from Bihar was placed at fourth position in the category of girls with disability. Shahla got 574 marks and her percentile was 98.0408269.
Ananya Mishra, daughter of Sujit Kumar Mishra, a senior official of ECR , has secured 99.994 percentile. She has secured AIR 100 by scoring 698 marks out of 720. Ananya, who had done her schooling from Notre Dame Academy here, was selected by Union ministry of education to witness the Republic Day parade in New Delhi in 2021 after she had secured 99.4% marks in Class X.
