Police officials said that an FIR was registered against a 55-year-old man under different sections of IPC and the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act for outraging the modesty of minor girls.
Devaria Kothi police station SHO Sanjay Swaroop added that raids were on to arrest the accused. “The grandfather of one of the girls had approached us for lodging a complaint. He alleged in his petition that Chandria Sah (55) of his village took her granddaughter and one more girl to a secluded place after luring them for giving toffees and money. He raped them and fled away. We have sent both the girls to Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital (SKMCH) for medical examination after registering an FIR,” he said.
He added that action would be initiated after the medical examination report is available.
