4th phase of teacher’s recruitment process to start from May: Minister
Patna: Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) is to initiate the process for 4th phase of teacher's recruitment, education minister Sunil Kumar informed the legislative assembly during the question hour on the 11th day of the budget session on Tuesday. He said the left out vacancies will be added in the TRE-4.Replying to a question of Khajauli BJP MLA Arun Shankar Prasad, the minister said the BPSC Teacher Recruitment Exam (TRE-4) process will begin in May this year. He also announced that non-teaching staff in colleges and universities will also be recruited soon. The minister ruled out any supplementary exam of TRE-3. On the recruitment in colleges and universities, the minister said 2,000 assistant professors were being appointed by the BPSC, and the process would be completed soon. The govt has asked the universities to inform about the vacancies of non-teaching staff.Replying to a question of grade pay to contractual teachers, he said the high court had rejected the demand. The state govt has given them the status of special teachers, but the posts are not included in the 7th Pay Commission, he added.
