4k students from city to write NET

PATNA: Over 4,000 candidates from Patna will appear for UGC NET-2019 (National Eligibility Test), which will be conducted by the National Testing Agency in two shifts from June 20 to 28.
The exam determines the eligibility for college and university-level lectureship and for the award of Junior Research Fellowship.
Admit cards were released on May 28 and results of the test are likely to published on July 15.It will be conducted in 84 subjects at 91 different cities across the country. The subjects are selected as per the students’ choice.
Kankerbagh resident Abhishek Rath (28), who is pursuing MA in journalism from Banaras Hindu University, told this newspaper, “This is my first attempt. If I score well, I will choose a reputed university like Indian Institute of Mass Communication or Jawaharlal Nehru University.”
Chemistry teacher Tanuja Sharma will write NET for the second time on Thursday. “I am a schoolteacher and hope to crack the exam this time,” she said.
NET comprises two papers — I and II — which have multiple-choice questions to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness. There is no negative marking in the test.
