46th Foundation day: BJP gears up for celebration
Patna: State BJP on Wednesday decided to celebrate its 46th foundation day on a grand scale from April 5 to 12.
At a meeting held at the BJP’s office here, the party state president, Sanjay Saraogi, released a week-long programme and also issued certain guidelines to the workers regarding the foundation day celebration.
He said from April 5 to 7, party office-bearers would decorate the offices, and on April 6, a ‘Vikas Yatra’ would be held at all offices. “The party workers will hoist the BJP flag at their respective homes. They will take selfies with the flag and post them on social media. On April 6 or 7, the foundation day will be celebrated at every booth with primary and active members,” he said.
“On April 8 and 9, a conference of active members will be organised at the district office, where discussions will be held on selected topics,” the party said.
“From April 7 to 12, a ‘Gaon Basti Chalo Abhiyan’ will be conducted, in which all corporators, public representatives above the level of panchayat members, and all party workers will participate. These programmes will be organised in 50 large villages in each assembly constituency,” the party said.
The party’s organisation general secretary, Bhikhubhai Dalsaniya, said elaborate preparations were being made for the foundation day this year. He said coordinators have been appointed at the state level for the implementation of the foundation day programmes. The team includes state general secretary Radhamohan Sharma, former MLA Pawan Jaiswal, Pinki Kushwaha, Satyapal Narottam, and Rajeev Ranjan.
The region-wise programme in-charges have also been appointed in 13 zones. While Ragini Rani has been made in-charge for Mithila, Sanjay Tiwari for Tirhut, Swati Sinha for Magadh, Janardan Sharma Jogi for Shahabad, and Arjun Gupta has been given the responsibility for Champaran. Besides this, Gautam Kumar for Saran, Bittu Soni for Bhagalpur, Poonam Sharma for Koshi, Amaresh Kumar Ojha for Seemanchal, Nidhi Singh for Patna, Sushant Kumar for Munger, and Archana Thakur have been given the responsibility for Begusarai.
