35 high mast lights set to be installed in Patna

Patna: A major infrastructure initiative has been announced for the Patna Nagar Nigam area, with the Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) sanctioning Rs 1.61 crore under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme for the installation and commissioning of 35 high mast lights.

Each of the high mast towers will be 12.5 metres tall and will be installed across different parts of the civic body area.

Social organisations, locals and public representatives expressed gratitude towards former Bankipore MLA Nitin Nabin, under whose tenure the initiative was taken forward.

Residents said the project would help improve urban beautification, curb anti-social activities and strengthen public confidence in civic infrastructure.

Public representatives described the initiative as a significant step towards making Patna safer, more organised and modern, while also supporting Smart City-aligned urban development across 30 wards of the Patna Nagar Nigam area.
