MUNGER: Police arrested three criminals, including kingpin Pappu Singh, near Rishikund railway halt on the Jamalpur-Bhagalpur section of the ECR on Monday evening.
ASP LS Vamanrao Lande said one loaded carbine, two magazines with 20 rounds of live cartridges were recovered from the possession of Pappu Singh. The ASP said Pappu, a resident of village Charon under the Nayaramnagar police station in the district, is the leader of a gang of criminals.
Pappu’s gang had killed Khemchandra Saha, a Jamalpur-based trader, about six months ago because he had failed to pay extortion money to the gang.
