3 doctors booked as college girl dies in nursing home
MUNGER: One Niwas Chaudhary of Mai under the Mufassil police station has lodged an FIR with the
“Soni was a student of Marwari College at Bhagalpur. She was brought to her native place on August 16 after pain in her abdomen. The next day, Soni was admitted to the private nursing home of Dr Deepak Kumar, who advised Chaudhary to get her to the nursing home of Dr Sudeepa Bose and Dr BB Bose,” the police quoted from the FIR lodged on Saturday.
It was alleged that Chaudhary took her to that clinic with Dr Deepak’s prescription. He was asked to deposit Rs10,000. Soni was sent for ultrasound test to Dr Rupa Prasad. “At around 4pm, her condition deteriorated and she was advised to shift to the ICU. He was asked to deposit Rs1.4 lakh. Dr Deepak reached there and examined Soni in the ICU at about 5pm and said she should be immediately shifted to Bhagalpur. When she was taken to the ambulance, we found her dead,” Chaudhary told the police.
Chaudhary alleged that the doctors were greedy and kept the family in the dark about Soni’s condition even after taking Rs1.5 lakh which they had arranged after lots of difficulties.
Kotwali police station SHO S R Chaudhary said, “We are trying to contact the three doctors.”
The three doctors could not be contacted as they were not in their nursing homes.
