PATNA: Sixteen people from different walks of life received the first

Times Men of The Year Award

at a function organized here on Monday. It was an initiative taken by a division of the Times Internet Ltd (The Times of India Group).

Prominent among those who received the award included Super 30 founder Anand Kumar, actors Pankaj Tripathi and Akash Sinha, cardiologist Dr Ajit Pradhan and Jyotinivas Kumar Sinha, the founder chairman of Shoshit Seva Sangh.

NIFT Patna director Sanjay Srivastava, pro-VC of Patna University Prof Dr Dolly Sinha, Amity University (Patna) VC Dr T R Venkatesh were prominent among those who graced the occasion. Pankaj, who hails from Bihar, discussed about his journey from a small village to Bollywood. “It is a great opportunity for me to be here among the talented people of Bihar. I still remember the days which I had spent in Patna. I always feel good to be back to my home state,” he said.

Anand, who was awarded in the Global Icon category, said, “Bihar is a state known for its talented people and we are proud to be a part of this state.”
