18-year-old youth commits suicide

PATNA: An 18-year-old youth, Dayanand Kumar, committed suicide here on Wednesday. Kumar, a native of Khiranbigha village in Nawada district, was living at a private lodge on B M Das Road opposite Patna College. He was studying at a coaching institute located on Arya Kumar Road.
Police are yet to ascertain the actual motive behind the suicide as no suicide note was recovered from Kumar's room.However, the police recovered a diary from there although it did not contain any suspicious entry.
The owner of the lodge, Rajkumar Yadav, said as the room was locked from inside, he suspected something foul and informed the Pirbahore police station. The police then reached the lodge and broke open the room. Inside, police found Kumar's blood-stained body, Yadav said adding the youth had cut his wrist. Yadav said Kumar had been staying in the lodge for the last 25 days.
