15 government departments to present tableaux

PATNA: At least 15 departments of the state government will present tableaux during the flag-hoisting ceremony and parade at Gandhi Maidan on Independence Day. At a meeting on Monday, Patna divisional commissioner Anand Kishor instructed the nodal officers of different departments to ensure that the maximum height of each tableau should not exceed more than 15 feet.
Kishor also asked the officers to make a list of all the artists and employees who would participate in the tableaux. “The list of the artists along with their personal details should be submitted to the district magistrate by August 10. I-Day practice will be held on August 13,” he said, adding entry passes would be issued to the visitors.
The different departments include prohibition and excise department, tourism department, art, culture and youth affairs department, education department, animal and fishery resources department, health department, urban development and housing department, agriculture department, women development, Bihar Police Building Construction Corporation, cooperative department, Bihar State Legal Services Authority, Jeevika, public health engineering department and industries department.
