14 toppers to receive gold medals on September 14

Toppers of as many as 14 different technical and professional courses in the last examinations of Aryabhatta Knowledge University (AKU) will be awarded gold medals at the 6th annual convocation scheduled to be held here on September 14.

PATNA: Toppers of as many as 14 different technical and professional courses in the last examinations of Aryabhatta Knowledge University (AKU) will be awarded gold medals at the 6th annual convocation scheduled to be held here on September 14.
It is interesting to note that eight out of 14 gold medallists are girls and most of them are students of private (affiliated) colleges.
The gold medallists include Shilpa Rani of Vardhman Institute of Medical Science, Pawapuri (MBBS, 2013-18 session), Deepa Kumari of St Xavier’s College of Education, Patna (BEd, 2016-18 session), Pooja Kumari of Mundeshwari College for Teacher Education, Danapur (BEd, 2017-19 session), Sahil Gaurav of Bhagalpur College of Engineering (BTech in electrical engineering, 2015-19 session), Vinita Kumari (MEd, 2017-19 session), Roshan Kumar of Darbhanga Medical College (MS in ophthalmology, 2019), Shivani Sharma of Patna Medical College (MD in dermatology, venereology and leprosy, 2019) and Anshu Priya of Patna Medical College (Diploma in gynaecology and obstetrics, 2019).
Other toppers to be awarded gold medals are Avinash Kumar of St Xaviers College of Management and Technology, Patna (Bachelor in Business Economics, 2016-19 session), Ayush Anand of Institute of Management and Planning & Advance Computer Technology (Bachelor of Mass Communications, 2016-19 session), Kumar Shanu of CIMAGE Professional College, Patna (BBA, 2016-19 session), Prashant Kumar of CIMAGE Professional College (BCA, 2016-19 session), Pragya Benedict of St Xavier’s College of Management and Technology, Patna (BCom, 2016-19 session) and Shabnam Kumari of Shyamlal Chandrashekhar Nursing College, Khagaria (BSc Nursing, 2014-18 session).

According to AKU controller of examinations Rajeev Ranjan, all the passouts of 2018-19 session will be conferred upon their coveted degrees at the convocation to be held at Bapu Sabhagar near Gandhi Maidan. Last date for online registration for attending the convocation is September 5. Degree recipients have been directed to receive lemon yellow Malaviya pagdi and yellow angvashtram with red border bearing university logo at the convocation venue on September 13 for a rehearsal.
