13 DMs among 28 IAS officers transferred

PATNA: In a late night development on Friday, 28 IAS officers, including 13 district magistrates, were transferred by the Nitish government.
Begusarai DM Mihir Kumar Singh has been shifted to West Champaran in the same capacity while dire-ctor (industries) Lallan Singh has been made the new DM of Saharsa.
Mihir will take charge from Rahul Singh who has been shifted to Vaishali in the same capacity.Begusarai DDC P M Thakur will be the new DM of Katihar while WRD additional secretary Vijay Kumar will be the Sheohar DM. Additional secretary (Cabinet vigilance) Upendra Kumar Rai goes to Araria as DM.
REO additional secretary Bishwanath Singh has been sent to Bhojpur as the DM and director (land records) Baidyanath Prasad is the new DM of Supaul.
Home (special) additional secretary Jeevan K Sinha will be the new East Champaran DM and secondary education director Niranjan Kumar Choudhary the new Madhubani DM. Welfare director P K Shah will be the new DM of Saran.
Vaishali DM Sanjeev Kumar Hans has been shifted to Begusarai as DM. The current Bhojpur DM, Jeetendra Srivastava, will be the new DM of Gaya.
The current Sheohar, Katihar, Supaul and Saharsa DMs -- K N Jha, K Mullick, Kumar Anand and K P Singh, respectively -- have been directed to report to the personnel department.
Gaya DM Sandeep Paudrik has been made additional secretary of the finance department while Araria DM B Dwivedi has been made the director of panchayati raj.
The present panchayati raj director P N Jha has been asked to report to the personnel department. Madhubani DM Aatish Chandra has been made registrar of cooperatives and East Champaran DM P S Meena has been made director (industries).
