Madhubani: At least 12 children were injured on Friday when a private school bus met with an accident in the Basopatti police station area. The mishap occurred on the road connecting Manapatti to Panchratna, after the bus driver swerved to avoid a speeding vehicle approaching from the Panchratna side, causing the bus to lose control and crash.
Upon getting information, Basopatti SHO Arvind Kumar and his team rushed to the spot. All injured students were immediately taken to Siddhi Vinayak Hospital for treatment. Hospital doctors confirmed that the condition of all the children was stable and they were out of danger.
Officials from the local administration were present at the hospital to monitor the children's treatment.
Local MLA Arun Shankar Prasad also visited the hospital shortly after the incident to check on the injured students and ensure they were receiving adequate care.
The incident has sparked renewed concerns over
road safety in the region, particularly regarding the transport of schoolchildren.
