PATNA: The state health department has initiated door-to-door vaccination of leftover people against Covid as three more persons tested positive for the virus in the past 24 hours, a health department bulletin stated on Saturday.
“Altogether 1.53 crore houses have been identified in 534 blocks across the state for ‘Har Ghar Dastak’ campaign. The vaccination will be done by mobile teams to be monitored by 5,852 supervisors.

One motorcycle mobile team has been constituted for every 125 houses in the rural areas,” state health minister Mangal Pandey said.
He said the health department teams are going to individual households for vaccinating people, who are yet to get jabbed.
Meanwhile, of the fresh cases, two were from Patna and one from Kishanganj. The state now has 37 active cases, the bulletin said. At least four more people got cured in the last 24 hours, taking the state recovery rate to 98.66% compared to national rate of 98.29%.
Altogether 5.43 crore samples have been tested for Covid-19 in the state, including 1,90,275 in the past 24 hours. As many as 29 districts in Bihar have become free from coronavirus and eight districts have single-digit active cases. Patna has the maximum 24 active cases.
