GREATER NOIDA

: A 24-year-old

youth

from Rajasthan was arrested on Friday for allegedly cheating in a recruitment exam of a leading national bank. The action came after a

bank

official alleged that an unknown person impersonated the candidate during the written exam of Junior Management Grade (Scale 1) that was

held

a few months ago at the campus of Nitte Education Private Limited in Knowledge Park 3.

The arrested student was identified as Vidya Prakash Meena, a native of Karauli district in Rajasthan. The man who impersonated him is still absconding, said police.

The matter came to light on June 21, when all the candidates were called for their biometric verification where the accused candidate’s entry didn’t match his previous one.

“We are making efforts to arrest Vidya’s accomplice who impersonated him,” said Arvind Pathak, SHO, Knowledge Park.
