. Cops said if Jugesh, Nirdosh Chaudhary and Gaurav Soni fail to appear before the anti-corruption court in Meerut by May 15, their property seizure would begin under Section 82 of the CrPC.

According to police, the trio have been booked for their involvement in the Rs 126 crore

land scam under IPC sections 420 (cheating), 467 (forgery of valuable security, will, etc), 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating) and 471 (using as genuine a forged document or electronic record).

Circle Officer, Greater Noida I, Swetabh Pandey told TOI that despite non-bailable warrants having issued against the accused, they have not been arrested. “In case, they do not appear before the court by the mentioned date, proceedings of property seizure will begin,” he said. Out of the almost 30 accused, seven have been arrested by Greater Noida police in relation to the case, including main accused and former YEIDA CEO PC Gupta.
