Two held for opening fire in village, one on the run

Noida: Two men were arrested on Wednesday for allegedly opening fire and terrorising people in Hoshiarpur village last week. The main accused is absconding.
Rahul, a resident of Sarfabad, and Tarun Pal, a resident of Sorkha village, had been in hiding ever since the firing incident was reported on Saturday.
On Nov 16, Hoshiarpur's Kapil Yadav registered a complaint at Sector 49 police station, alleging that a group of men had fired guns in the area during the early hours of the day. When Kapil went out of his house, he saw his relative Rahul Yadav, a resident of Sorkha, and some of his associates shooting in the air. When the complainant started taking a video, Rahul Yadav pointed his gun at Kapil and threatened to kill him and his family.
Later on Monday, a video went viral on social media platforms, in which police officials can be seen counting the cartridge shells from the guns that were used. Officials said possible hideouts of the main accused and others are being raided to find the culprits.
