NOIDA: Motorists heading towards DND Flyway from Barapullah flyover in Delhi witnessed traffic jam early on Monday. The traffic remained halted on the flyover for about 10-15 minutes.

Traffic on several stretches could be diverted during rush hours as Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath and around 80 delegates from some of the 196 participating countries are scheduled to attend the 14th session of the Conference of Party (COP-14) at the Expo Mart in

Greater Noida

.



Both PM Modi and chief minister Yogi Adityanath are expected to use a helicopter to arrive at the venue, but the traffic police said there could be diversions on the DND Flyway and Noida-Greater Noida Expressway in case the VVIPs take the road instead.

Apart from Modi, other VVIPs who are set to the attend the session include Ralph Gonsalves, Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Amina Mohammed, deputy secretary-general of the United Nations, and Ibrahim Thiaw, under secretary-general and executive secretary of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD).

Superintendent of police (traffic) Anil Jha said, "The route from Delhi to Noida and vice-versa via the DND/Chilla border will be diverted in case it becomes necessary for the entry and exit of the convoys. Otherwise, there will be no diversion here," he said.
