NOIDA: District magistrate (DM) Manish Kumar Verma directed the district task force on Monday to visit five schools every month and inspect infrastructural developments.

His direction came at a review meeting with officials with various task forces under Nipun Bharat Mission and the education department.

Basic Siksha Adhikary (BSA) Aishwariya Lakshmi said, “The task forces at the block level will ensure that schools in their respective areas get covered.”

The DM also directed officials to complete all work under the Kayakalp initiative, aimed at promoting cleanliness and enhancing the quality of facilities in state-run schools, by 2023.

“Although the DM has not fixed any particular date, the gram panchayat and the Authority should complete all work with them by December 2023,” said Lakshmi.

Lakshmi added that well-performing primary and junior school teachers would present their work before the DM at the next meeting. “We have also invited all CSR partners at the meeting to evaluate their work and share proposals for the future,” the BSA said.

On Monday, the DM also reviewed the work of various NGOs in the education sector.
