"The situation has become miserable for us, especially for the women, as we have to manage our house with the little water we are getting from the tankers," said a resident, Alka Pundir.
Residents said the maintenance agency has told them that work on a borewell was underway for last six days. As they are doing the work manually, and not using a hydraulic system, it was taking longer than usual.
"Our taps are running dry. The water tanker comes twice a day, but we are getting very limited water from it. Some of us are arranging other ways to fulfil the water needs. But how long are we supposed to manage like this? There needs to be some intervention from the higher authorities so this issue gets rectified fast," said another resident, Sushila Rawat.

Residents claimed they are already going through several issues with the society's maintenance, which are not getting solved even after continuous complaints.
"The residents came to live in the society to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. They expected peace of mind and a comfortable life, but instead, poor maintenance has made lives difficult," added Pundir.
Meanwhile, the officials from the society's maintenance office did not respond to calls made by the reporter.
