Ghaziabad: A 21-year-old salon worker died after four men stabbed him repeatedly on Wednesday night in Loni over a personal enmity, police said.
The deceased, Tasleem, alias Cheeni, lived with his parents in Aashiyana City in Loni. He had been arrested in March 2025 for killing a man — the brother of Yunis, one of the four accused — and had got bail four months ago. All four accused, including Yunis, are absconding, an officer said.
Tasleem’s father lodged a complaint on Wednesday, alleging that Faisal took Tasleem from his house to a mazaar near Malik City where Sheruddin,
Aamir and Ayaan attacked him.
“Despite being stabbed a few times, Tasleem managed to escape for a while and reached a nearby shop. There, he called his cousins Tayyab and Taseem and asked them for help,” the complainant said.
However, by the time his cousins could reach Tasleem, the accused caught up to him and stabbed him several more times, Tasleem’s father said, adding that Tayyab and Taseem later saw the accused men fleeing from the spot with a sharp weapon in their hands.
The cousins took Tasleem to a hospital but doctors declared him dead on arrival.
DCP (rural) Surendra Nath Tiwari said that on the basis of the complaint, an FIR was registered against Faisal, Sheruddin, Aamir and Ayaan under sections 103 (murder) and 3(5) (common intention) of BNS at the Loni police station.
“Four police teams are working on the case and police are also checking the nearby CCTV cameras to trace the accused and nab them as soon as possible,” he said.
