RWA head ‘roughs up’ power officials, booked

GREATER NOIDA

: The residents welfare association (

RWA

) president of Mitra Enclave, who was accused of

power

theft, has been booked for misbehaving with a team of power department officials on Wednesday. A complaint against Dharmender Nagar has been filed by Sahil Sharma, an assistant engineer of the electricity department, at Sector Beta 2 police Station.

“On Wednesday, when we reached the house, the accused and his accomplices argued with us and punched two of our team members in the face,” as Sharma said.

Dharmender denied the allegations. “I was there to mediate because the owner of the house, who is a friend, was not there. The allegations against me are false,” he said.

The accused has been booked for rioting, causing hurt and breach of peace.
