Rs 5 lakh from sector 44 RWA for deceased guard's family
NOIDA: RWA sector 44 will be handing over a cheque of Rs 5 lakh on Sunday (September 17) to
The cheque will be presented after Aadhaar card and bank document verification of the deceased (which were done today on Thursday) in the presence of residents of sector 44. The five lakh amount includes one lakh contribution from RWA sector 44 and rest amount collected from residents of sector 44.
"The unfortunate incident which happened in our sector 44 on Sept 6 resulted in a guard getting shot and died while attempting to foil a robbery bid at house number C 83. We the sector RWA have collected contributions from the residents of our sector as well as from the RWA fund and shall be handing over the cheque to the wife of the deceased on Sunday," said Kamini Jain, organising secretary RWA sector 44.
Sudhir Sood, joint secretary RWA 44 maintained that they "will give an amount of Rs 5 lakhs to Gudiya wife of deceased guard Bhanu Kishore Sharma (49). So far we have collected a little over 3 lakhs from voluntary contributions from the residents of our sector. In case we fall short of Rs 5 lakh the RWA of our sector will add more to the contribution to make it an amount of Rs 5 lakh for the deceased family," Sood told TOI.
In order to maintain transperancy, the cheque will be handed to Kishore's wife Gudiya on Sunday in the presence residents of the sector as well as the media. For this, all necessary formalities such as verification of the deceased's family were completed on Thursday. "We've done aadhaar card and bank account verifications of late Kishore and his family including wife Gudiya and his four children," said Sood.
Earlier, on Wednesday apart from financial help the RWA federation had offered all help necessary in rehabilitating the family from district administration and the state government.
Arun Kumar Singh SP (city) Noida had also requested district magistrate and UP chief minister about financial help to the kin of the deceased. The police will also recommend for a bravery award to the security guard for showing velour, said Singh.

On September 6 afternoon, he received a call from neighbour Vinod Dayal, about attempted robbery in his house C-83, located a few meters away. The unarmed security guard rushed to the spot and confronted the criminals. He grabbed one of the criminals but was shot dead in return.
Sharma is survived by wife Gudiya (46), daughters Anupama (19) and Ambika (16) and sons Ravi (18) and Ritesh (12).
